McShep Match

I have two more McShep Match fics to read. They look good so I'm looking forward to it. After that, I'm going back to the Reversebang fics I've yet to read (I'm about halfway through, I think but there are still a lot I haven't gotten to yet). After I'm done with these, I believe I will create a rec list of my favorites.

I'm terrible at keeping up with challenges. I always start out, excited and prepared to tear through them, but truth is that I am an incredibly slow reader and by the time I'm halfway through, I get sidetracked by the next challenge. I think this is the second one I've actually managed to stay on top of. LOL

I remember two years ago, I thought I'd read everything I'd planned to at SGA Santa...until I went back and looked again and saw that I'd missed reams and reams of fics. Sighhhhh.

But a thing about challenges is that the all-or-nothing mentality creeps up on you. It's hard for me to read 5 fics when I meant to read 20 and not think I failed, but: 5 is more than 0! 5 is pretty darn good! Anything less than perfection... is still a great accomplishment *nods firmly*

It's true. Especially because this one is the last one (of its kind) and I've never kept up with it before, I feel like it's almost a duty to finish reading them. Ha. But by any count, 5 is more than 0! We should give ourselves awards. ;)
