I hope this isn't just gossip (like the stories about how SGU would figure around the dreamteam of an "arrogant scientist" named Camille Wray and an "unorthodox Air Force officer" played by Lou Diamond Phillips) because I am excited. Tricia Helfer, James Callis (+ Jamie Bamber)! Tricia Helfer playing an adept magical-professional. And magical cops?? Too deliciously weird.Now where's a 50+ year old Oscar winner they can cast as the Lieutenant? No worries, they cast Stockard Channing (whom we all love from the touching drama Six Degrees of Separation)! Now they need to cast Katee Sackhoff!!! More Katee Sackhoff!
Maybe this is my weirdness coming in but this sounds awesome to me. I love supernatural elements, I love police procedurals, I LOVE Tricia Helfer (and, omg, James CALLIS).
ETA: I would forswear all others if Kyle Secor or Andre Braugher were in this thing.
AETA: Fuck sake, this has Eamonn Walker, Said from OZ - he was fucking GREAT in that! Furthermore - if Eamonn Walker and Jamie Bamber are partners, I am officially slashing them! It would be an explosion of hotness. Also excited: tvsquad.
Battlestar Galactica developer/ executive producer Ron Moore has tapped a third co-star from the hit Syfy series, Tricia Helfer, to join his new sci-fi project, NBC's pilot 17th Precinct. The ... drama is set in the fictional town of Excelsior where magic and supernatural elements rule over science and revolves around the cops at the local 17th Precinct. Helfer will play Morgana, a necromancer, the magical equivalent of a coroner, who is an expert at manipulating the potions, tools, herbs and spells of her trade.

Too happy with the ad of Walker, was amazing in OZ.
The plot some fantastic, like a csi with a touch of a grown up Charmed.
Kyle and Braughter, loved them in Baltimore, slashed them a lot lol !
I could have a little orgasm if the boss will add Tahmot Penikett.

And I agree completely about Tahmoh Penikett! I watched Riverworld just because of him and he was fantastic in it! Helo is definitely one of my BSG favorites (and Kara and Sam and Chief and Bill Adama and Saul Tigh). ;)
