omg_wtf_yeahI am so excited about this. Around March I got really into Fringe and marathoned all the seasons. I was really doubtful about it because I'm such a huge, die-hard X-Files fan, I thought that it might be poorly derivative and terrible. But I found that I really, really enjoyed it. Olivia (oh god, Olivia), Walter, Peter, Astrid, Broyles... The parallel universes, the drama, the Joe Flanigan guest spot, Olivia's habit of shooting people dead. My only complaint is that Peter needs to wear more pea coats (check) and get kidnapped more often.
Anyway, long story short -- I really love it. I had some mixed feelings about season 4, probably because season 3 was so good and I'm ambivalent about Lincoln Lee, but I just watched the season 5 promo and tears and flailiing. God, tears and flailing.
I want them to have six movies.
First off, the conflict -- cool. Then the sound bite about the "original fringe team" over the three of them walking up in that blue light? I love it. Walter in amber and the flashes of Peter, Olivia, and Astrid (I love Astrid and Walter's relationship so much, so SO SO much). Just. GAH. Love. ASTRID ♥♥!!
Flashes of some of the most badass moments on the show (Walter crossing into the red verse, Olivia going into the submersion tank, Peter on the rack) -- way to remind me of why I love this show.
And the sweet moment between Peter and Henrietta?? Oh. I'm still kinda blah on the preggo plotline (why do all female character have to pop out a baby in later seasons?) but I can't hate it when I like Henrietta so much and I love the look on Olivia's face when she talks about her. GOD, OLIVIA! I love Olivia with the power of a thousand suns.
Nina, I've never been sold on, but old!Nina is pretty fucking cool.
I love the Walter-Etta dynamic, the little action montage (Olive getting punched by the Observer, the explosions), Peter's speech, the recap of Walter's antimatter bomb from last season (fucking awesome)...

The badass shot where Olive is walking toward the camera, flanked by Walter and Peter. "I think you're just what we've been waiting for -- to show people that we don't just have to accept our fate. That we can fight back."
What? You mean Fringe Team has to resist or serve, Desmond-from-Lost? You mean they have to fight the future, Desmond??? KEYSMASH CAPSLOCK Yes, please.
And now, I'm so fucking excited. I don't even know what to do with myself. I really, really want to watch this. SO MUCH.
