Yeah, I think so, too. The fact of the matter is that no matter the angst you can't feel low forever. Moods normalize, guilt fades - it's unfortunate but these are the facts. I also think it'll turn out right for Frank & Tim because time is on their side (with no canonical evidence to the contrary). ;p
