I've dementedly signed up for several fandom activities, even knowing what a dreadful jerk I am about deadlines~

Why do I do this? Ah well. LOL

and, omg, why do film makers think it's actually okay for female characters to assault, kidnap, drug, rape, and threaten men as long as the atmosphere isn't serious. Meg Ryan much? Sadly, I can believe that the trajectory of a movie wherein a woman does all of the above to a man, results in said man actually pairing with violent, psychotic, vile criminal fitting said description but I think it's really terrible. Sure, it's just a trend in movies but it's really offensive when one character does that to another character and the movie says, "Hey, it's okay -- she has important feelings...like wanting to kidnap and rape a dude." It is utterly appalling.
